My Fitness Journey Never Ends…

It has been so long since I’ve posted on here! However, I’ve still been dedicated to working out and keeping in shape even though many unexpected events happened which involved a lot of traveling.

Although, I was traveling and I don’t have a lap top with a DVD player (thanks apple) I still did what I could to keep up on working out and eating healthy.

I haven’t kept up on beachbody programs, but I’ve biked, did areal yoga (which I absolutly love!!! <3), walked alot and speed walked/ran through Madrid.

I’ve also taken on another venture in buisness owning and I’ve become a LipSense distributor!

21 Day Fix | Minus Shakeology

As you all know by now, last week I started another round of the 21 day fix, this time without Shakeology. It’s truly amazing how much energy one shake a day can give you… the 21 day fix is a killer without it. The only reason I stopped drinking Shakeology is because I thought I was having an allergic reaction to it. Turns out… I have no clue what I’m allergic to and I had a reaction to Blistex over the weekend, so I know it’s not shakeology.

The other day I ordered more and I truly can’t wait for it to get here. Without it I’ve struggled with breakfast in the morning, as I have to eat on the go and there’s nothing healthy that I can find to grab and go with. I’ve gotten into my old habit of going to the coffee shop to grab an Ice Maple Oat Scone and a large iced coffee. That habit is defiently not good for the wallet or the waist line. I’ll be back to saving money with shakeology and getting the most nutriuents I can out of one meal, while avoiding the extra carbs.

I can’t wait for my shipment to arrive so I can start making the shakes in the morning and get back to eating healthy and feeling better. 🙂shakeology_logo_low_res

21 Day Fix | It feels so good

I can’t express how good it feels to be back in the game with the 21 Day Fix! 

I’m so sore after only day two. I’m truly amazed at how out of shape I got and how quickly it happened. Just goes to show, you should never stop working on you! You’re worth it and you’ll feel so much better if you take time out of your day to work on your fitness. 
I’m so excited to be able to get back into fitness. I should’ve never stopped in the first place, but I let life get in the way and I really hope I never let it get in the way again!

Exhausted, Sore and Lazy

I haven’t worked out for a several days and I’m really feeling it. My muscles are tense, I’m stiff and I just feel plain awful. I don’t feel like getting up in the morning and there’s nothing motivating me to get anything done anymore.

My diet has been horrible because of having to move… I don’t want to be home to cook and my stuff needs to get packed up anyway.

I know moving should’ve be an excuse to let your health suffer, but it’s really hard staying on track. I kept it up for a few days but I have to be honest. I’m struggling…

I can’t wait to be settled once again so I can start a new program and get back on track.

It’s amazing just how much better you feel when working out regularly and I really can’t wait to get back at it.

Hammer and Chisel | Complete

It’s been a while since I’ve had the time to write a post. A lot has been going on and a lot is changing these past few weeks. It’s strange how the universe knows you’re happy so it mixes everything up so you can’t relax.

I have been struggling to stay on target with my workouts since the end of Hammer and Chisel, and I decided to start a 21 day fix extreme and hammer and chisel hybrid 4 week training. But right after my start date for the new program, I was faced with a challenge of finding a new place to live.

I’m struggling to find the motivation to get out of bed in the morning and I’m worried sick most of each day, about what’s going to happen to me now, but things are finally looking positive.

It will be a struggle but I’ve found a new home and I’m ready to take this challenge head on.

I can’t wait to be settled and get my workouts and eating back on track.

Here are my before and after pictures from Hammer and Chisel. Not exactly the complete result I was looking for, but I can only blame that on my diet. Here’s to another round in the future and for never giving up!!!!

Last Week | Hammer and Chisel

This is my last week of the 60 day program Hammer and Chisel. 

I have overcome some great hurdles during the past few weeks and I’m amazed at how much my body has changed with this program. 

I can do burpee’s without stopping and adding the jump, I can hold a plank on a medicine ball, push-ups using a medicine ball and do endless deep squats. All of these I never thought I’d be able to do. I’ve always wished I could but never knew how to get there. 

Hammer and Chisel has taught me a lot about my body and how to lift weights. I always wanted to be a fitness girl but I never knew how to get there. 

I’m so happy I did this program and I can’t wait for next week to begin a hybrid of hammer and chisel and 21 day fix extreme!

Shakeology | Break Up

It’s pretty damn official. I’m pretty severely allergic to something in Shakeology. I stopped drinking it for a week and the redness and peeling in my upper lip was getting better. I decided to test it out, so I spent three lovely days enjoying that delicious shake and sure enough, the pain, ichyness, redness and peeling came right back. 

I’m pretty disappointed and very worried about what it is that I’m allergic to now. I also bought a different protein shake from Trader Joes as a replacement to shakeo, but I experienced a much worse reaction with that one. 😕 

Time to visit the doctor for an allergy test I guess. Has any one else experienced these types of issues? I had no problems for 3 months… Then it all hit me…

Shakeology, I Just Want You

This past week has been very difficult in terms of eating healthy and staying on track. I’ve had a major reaction to something and I really don’t know what caused it. I don’t know if it was something I ate, something I put on my skin, or just the dry California air.

I really don’t want to go into details, as it was completely embarrassing, but I have stopped drinking Shakeology for a full week so far, and I’m really struggling. That Shake was my breakfast and I’ve had nothing to replace it with for a week. I don’t have time to eat at home in the morning and I always just mixed the shake and ran out the door, while enjoying it on my drive into work.

I really hope this isn’t the end for me and Shakeology, as that is the best shake I’ve ever had and it really helps me feel great everyday. I’m really hoping it was something else that caused the reaction.

Anyone else ever experience side effects from Shakeology?

Mind Over Matter | Accountability Group

Back in March I joined my first accountability group and it changed my life. I do not regret the decision I made to join Amy and the Beachbody team. It helped me stay focused on changing my lifestyle and now I’m finally reaching my fitness goals.

Hammer and Chisel | The Master’s Cardio

Okay, so it’s my third Saturday on the Hammer and Chisel program. I decided to switch up the workout and instead of doing another round of Hammer Plyometrics, I did the optional The Master’s Cardio workout.

My first thought when putting the DVD in was… “Wow, only a 16 minute workout. Not to bad.” Well… that 16 minutes was a total killer. Especially since I just got done with an hour spin class at the gym.

I made it through the entire 16 minutes and I’d have to say I’m pretty darn happy where I’m at physically. I was able to finish the time with the 30 burpee’s, without stopping and I added the jump during the last 10. I have NEVER in my life been able to do that many burpee’s in a row! It’s only the third week and I’m so happy I decided to do this program. My life will be forever changed because of this. 🙂
